The original cover of this church, composed by several gothic arches, was protected with a second cover over it at the beginnings of last century.
The cover's wooden beams and the slates were severely damaged due to the weather conditions as well as the lack of maintenance.
The project considered replacing this second cover without modifying the current church appearence. The new structure should be addapted to the geometry of the buliding and the apse.
The solution proposed is the taut entwined roof trussed rafters. These trussed rafters are supported by the perimetral masonry wall and are designed to hold up a hanging platform which makes this open space a multipurpose room or an exhibition hall.
